Tagged

Ashley, author of A Country Maiden's Lane, has tagged me to list six random things about myself. I'm so old that the only game of tag I've ever played involved a whole lot of running. This new sort of tag is perfectly fitted to my current speed and agility.

  1. I won't use the voicemail feature of our phone system; it's always turned off.

  2. The north entrance of our Wal*Mart makes me feel dismal, so I always endeavor to use the south entrance.

  3. I made peace with my freckles at age 25.

  4. I'm 1/16th Cherokee (plus English and Scottish) by national heritage.

  5. When I'm passenger in a vehicle, I read cookbooks.

  6. Thinking of Jesus, Himself, wiping away tears -- unmerited love and His touch -- makes me cry.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 3:13, 14

Mean old me....I don't do tags, but loved reading yours. Why does the north entrance of Walmart make you sick? I am interested since parts of Walmart make me sick, but not all of it. Usually the laundry soap and fabric softener aisle since the smells are just too much! I love to read cookbooks, too, but I can't read in a moving car....I get really throw-uppy. Is that a word? I am sure that was more about me than you wanted to know today!

Janie, your comments were 'bout the same as playing tag, and you gave us a great a new word: throw-uppy. Ü I'm sorry, though, that portions of Wal*Mart make you sick.

I should have used a better word describing my reaction to that north entrance, so I changed it. I could do a thesis on the store's music...and perhaps I shall.

I've so enjoyed your blog tonight. I came via Janie's blog. I find it fascinating that I too have Cherokee blood along with Scottish!

Well, thanks for stopping by, Pam, and dropping a note. It is, indeed, interesting that we share a similar, recent heritage. Ü I enjoy pondering the fact, too, that everyone on earth is related to one-another.
