Thanksgiving Favorites?

I've been thinking a lot about oysters lately. A lot.

And as a result of that, I began wondering what everyone's favorite Thanksgiving dinner side dishes are.

If you will, use the comments form to name one or more of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes or desserts. I'll begin the cough it up comments with one of my own favorites always on our feast table.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. ~Colossians 3:15

Ahhhh...Scalloped Oysters. My grandpa made these & always brought them to our Thanksgiving dinners. Daddy, Kay, & I were the only ones who would eat them. Funny you brought this up, CarolineNot, as I have been hunting recipes for that dish & want to take some this year for Kay & I. Could you possibly squeeze in time to send me your recipe???

Noodles...that's my favorite...Homemade Noodles

I second the oysters!!!
Cousin Annie, you should have been at our home last week to partake of the home made noodles which Aaron spontaneously invented and then proceeded to hang from the living room light fixture with a coat hangar. He's such a helper! *forced grin*
(results: pallatable)

I love the scalloped oysters, too, but I'm a sucker for a good sweet potato dish. And I LOVE pumpkin pie. mmmm...

Cranberry Salad, dark meat of turkey, mincemeat pie, and green bean cassarole.

I must also add that the linen napkins, too, are an experience.

One that comes only so often.
