Blockhead

*raising hand*

I've had blogger's-block for a while.

Couple of things:  1) There are several layers of that's-really-not-funny hanging around, and a girl can't just keep beating that sort of literary drum; 2) One of the unfunnies intermittently ramps-up and requires a gazillion emails and phone calls, so that there's little time and less oomph for chronicling inane tidbits from life on earth.

Charles (who you realize isn't really "Charles" at all) phoned me from work this afternoon to say he'd ordered a propane fill.  Told that we'd be put in a 4-day delivery schedule, together we decided the truck was surely days away from pulling into our country driveway.  NOT!  You never saw a woman paint her face so fast in your life!  I probably look, though, like Bette Davis in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane."  I'm afraid to do a mirror survey, because it's too late now.  Don't be afraid about the movies I'm watching, because I haven't seen that one in decades and never will again; my vivid recall of Bette Davis' face is just one of several reasons to be faithfully and critically selective in movie-viewing.

Speaking of painting, I was recently led to the blog of a gal I went to school with many moons ago, a folk artist, whose wares are delightful.  In fact, Mrs. Piecrust has one of Cathie's prints framed and hanging in her living room.  If you've a heart for folk art, drop by Pigment of Your Imagination and treat yourself to a lovely journey through her wonderful works.  ºÜº

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  ~I Corinthians 15:58
